Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Launches Search for the 28th Annual Outstanding Teacher of the Year – Ag Institute Alumni Encouraged to Apply for Prestigious Award Recognizing Dedication to Promoting Agriculture Literacy
The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s Ag Promotion Committee has announced the opening of applications for the 28th Annual Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award. This prestigious award aims to honor educators who demonstrate exceptional commitment to teaching students about agriculture and successfully integrating agricultural concepts into their curriculum.
The award application, available for download here, provides a platform for teachers to showcase their efforts in promoting agriculture literacy among students. The application deadline has been set for Oct. 1.
Highlighting the significance of agricultural education, PFB firmly believes that educating the public, starting with the youth, plays a vital role in fostering awareness about agriculture’s importance. Through this award, the PFB aims to recognize the outstanding contributions of educators who go above and beyond to instill agricultural knowledge and understanding in their students.
The winning teacher will receive a $250 cash prize, $250 prize for classroom supplies and a travel scholarship to attend the National Ag In the Classroom conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Educators passionate about agriculture education are encouraged to complete the application form, detailing their innovative teaching methods, unique approaches to incorporating agricultural concepts, and the positive impact their efforts have had on their students’ learning experiences.
